Stuntman No. 4 is pushed by Todd away from the plinth. The action footage with the numbered stuntmen, shot in black and white, was used as a guide by Ray for his animation. For the live-action rear-projection plate, the actors would reshoot the same action as had been choreographed with the stuntmen, this time in color.
