Natasha Bedingfield performed a tribute to the beloved Donna Summer, who passed away last Thursday of cancer. The New Zealand singer’s cover of Summer’s iconic hit, “Last Dance,” sounded lovely, but just as the song started picking up speed, the network cut to commercials. It’s understandable that ABC had trouble cramming in all that they did into the three-hour telecast, but they could have easily cut back on a performance or two of the 17 mostly mediocre ones in order to give a legendary singer like Summer her due respect.
