Robin Gibb made his way to fame as a member of the Bee Gees, a band created in 1958 that comprised of his twin brother Maurice and elder brother Barry. The band enjoyed more than 40 years of success. Their popularity peaked twice since their humble beginnings: first as a pop act in the late 1960s, and then again in the 1970s as a disco act.
