It’s nigh impossible to harbor artistic expectations from any movie with a protagonist who goes by the name of He-Man — even less so when the project is based on an execrable Saturday-morning cartoon that is itself based on a line of cheap plastic toys. And in that respect, Masters does not disappoint — it’s a deliriously awful low-budget mess that often crosses into the realm of So Bad It’s Good.
