O’Neal won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar in 1974 for her role in Peter Bogdanovich’s Paper Moon. She grew up, married tennis star John McEnroe and spent much of the ’80s and ’90s raising three children before getting divorced. Sadly, O’Neal also became addicted to drugs; she was arrested for trying to buy crack in 2008.
