A word of advice: if you ever find yourself performing a Beach Boys tribute, try not to do it in front of the actual Beach Boys. Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Bruce Johnston, Al Jardine and David Marks may be old, but they will show you up. The band took the stage (along with several backup musicians) to perform the chart-topping 1966 hit “Good Vibrations.” Love sang primary lead vocals, just as he did on the original track, while Wilson remained behind the piano. This gray-haired band is the best thing I’ve seen all evening.
