When Men in Black 3 hits theaters next Memorial Day, almost a decade will have gone by since we last saw Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones together on screen.
In that time, director Barry Sonnenfeld has directed just one movie (the unfortunate Robin Williams vehicle RV) and written many Esquire magazine tech columns. It will also be Will Smith’s first film since 2008’s overwrought Seven Pounds and Tommy Lee Jones’ first starring role since 2007 (No Country for Old Men, In the Valley of Elah). All of that is to say that there’s a lot riding on this film for this three gents.
