In this black comedy from Britain’s famed Ealing Studio, Louis Mazzini D’Ascoyne (Dennis Price) hatches a plan to murder each of his eight rich in-laws. All of them are played by Alec Guinness, which is ultimately what the film is most known for. In only a small amount of screen time, Guinness delivers a wonderfully severe turn as suffragette Lady Agatha, who is killed when Louis punctures her hot-air balloon with an arrow.
