Ridley Scott’s 1991 movie Thelma & Louise is supposedly about two women who try to escape their traumatic past by killing a rapist and then driving across the country. At least, that’s what we’re told; all we really remember is Brad Pitt. In the film, Pitt plays a thief who seduces Geena Davis’ Thelma — an act that requires him to remove his shirt. The film was Pitt’s first major film role, which means it was also the first time moviegoers got a look at him. While his career has flourished in the years since, and today he mostly acts with his shirt on, there are still some films — Fight Club, Troy, Legends of the Fall — that, shall we say, make it hard for a certain segment of the population to focus on the plot. It’s no wonder he’s been named People‘s Sexiest Man Alive twice.
