While British actress Minnie Driver is best known for appearing in period dramas or opposite John Cusack (but not yet both), her first, foremost and somewhat secret love is singing. Having performed in jazz clubs as a teenager, she joined a band and managed to ink a deal with Island Records. But the deal never resulted in an album, and Driver left to appear in Hollywood hits like An Ideal Husband, Good Will Hunting and Grosse Pointe Blank. More recently, she’s picked up the mike again, recording two albums of Norah Jonesy blues-folk, Everything I’ve Got in My Pocket in 2004 and Seastories in 2007.
