It’s been three years since Lykke Li has released an album, but luckily she’s not going to keep us waiting much longer. On the heels of her announcing that her new album, I Never Learn, will be out in May, the Swedish singer-songwriter has now released a lush new trailer to preview the album, replete with dreamy melody and Instagram-worthy triple-filtered setting.
Li told music magazine NME last month that her upcoming album would round off what she’s released so far. “I see my albums as a trilogy, with [2008’s] Youth Novel as the first one and hopefully this one as the last in this chapter,” she said. “It’s always about me and the guilt and the shame and the hurt and the pride and the confusion of being a woman.”
Whatever she’s singing about, it’s working, we’d say.
