Tenor and conductor Placido Domingo, general director of the Los Angeles Opera, speaks as he accepts the "Heart of the City Award" at the Central City Association of Los Angeles 19th Annual "Treasures of Los Angeles" luncheon May 9, 2013.

Woody Allen will revive his Los Angeles Opera production of Gianna Schicchi in Madrid during Teatro Real’s 2014-15 season. Tenor Plácido Domingo will play the title role in the one-act comedic opera, the Los Angeles Times reports. Domingo was not in Allen’s Los Angeles production, which ran in 2008.

Schicchi was Allen’s first opera, though the filmmaker’s Spanish production will not be his first overseas; the 2008 production ran in Italy in 2009. The Spanish revival will run on a double bill with Goyescas, an opera in one act, at Teatro Real in June 2015.

Allen, who has been in the headlines recently amid his stepdaughter’s renewed accusations of sexual abuse, will also premier the musical version of his film Bullets Over Broadway in New York this spring. He’s also working on a film starring Emma Stone.

from this point forward I will boycott anything with Placido Domingo or Emma Stone attached to it

Placido wow really? I will add you to my list of boycotts. Our child protection laws are too weak. Celebrities are being allowed to have special privileges and that is the only reason Allen is given any doubt in regards to being a child molester.

If this was a Joe schmo he would be in prison.

I suggest everyone not only boycott Palcido future endeavors but contact his distributors and producers and let them know why you are boycotting him. Palcido by agreeing to work with this accused monster shows his allegiances.

We need to show him what OUR allegiances lay.  The fact that there is doubt around Woody Allen is enough to avoid anything he does already distributors in Europe are not wanting to by his new movie with Emma Stone.

The European distributors at the Berlin Film Festival are trying to avoid their names being tarnished and low turn out.

This says a lot. Keep it up everyone!  Peace :D
