The Muppets serenaded Jimmy Fallon on his final departure from Late Night, supplying the soundtrack for a lively game of musical chairs played by Fallon, Seth Meyers, and Jay Leno as the funnymen of NBC talk shows swap posts.

Fallon’s goodbye to Late Night, which he is leaving to replace Leno on the Tonight Show, was an emotional one. “I’m not gonna cry,” he said, “but I’m gonna get really close.” He signed off playing the drums and singing with the Muppets a rendition of “The Weight” by The Band.

Fallon has hosted Late Night for five years, and will take a 10-day break before filling Leno’s shoes, reports the Associated Press. His own spot will be filled by former Saturday Night Live head writer Seth Meyers starting Feb. 24.

The 39-year-old Fallon is bringing his house band, The Roots, and his announcer Steve Higgins with him to his new role at the Tonight Show. Hopefully he invites Kermit and Miss Piggy back sometime, too.
