Justin Bieber and his entourage filled their private plane with so much marijuana smoke during a flight last week that the pilots had to don oxygen masks, according to a police report obtained by NBC News.

The reportedly hot-boxed flight came Friday as Bieber, his father and 10 friends were on their way to the Super Bowl in a leased Gulfstream IV. The plane was met by federal authorities when it landed at a small New Jersey airport. “The captain of the flight stated that he warned the passengers, including Bieber, on several occasions to stop smoking marijuana,” the official report of the incident reads, according to NBC. “The captain also stated he needed to request that the passengers stop their harassing behavior toward the flight attendant and after several warnings asked the flight attendant to stay with him near the cockpit to avoid any further abuse.”

The report goes on to describe how one flight attendant claimed that Bieber and his father were verbally abusive during the trip.

The plane was met by DEA and Customs and Border Protection agents and the police when it landed. The cabin still smelled like marijuana when police entered it, NBC reports. When questioned, Bieber admitted to smoking weed and drinking alcohol, the report says. No marijuana was found and none of the members of the flight crew were willing to press charges against the pop star, so the group was allowed to leave.

Bieber has run into legal trouble several other times in recent weeks. In late January, he was arrested for allegedly drunk driving and drag racing in Miami, and later that month he was arrested in Toronto for alleged assault on a limo driver — an incident that took place in late December.

I'm going to bet it will be a little more difficult for young Mr Bieber to charter a plane next time.  Might even have to start flying coach to make all his court appointments.

my name is cassie and what I think about wat Justin bieber did was wrong but wen he smoke weed on the plane like hot boxed it he should have opened the window before he landed so the smell of weed wouldent get the police wouldent have gotten there attention

Okay. So I'm a Canadian. My son is doing a graduate degree in the US and wants to immigrate there. People are telling him that Bieber has ruined it for Canadians who want to immigrate. Let's not let it be so. The US must stop tolerating Bieber's nonsense. Get him out of there. These pilots are remarkable. I don't think many of us would have blamed them if they landed in a field somewhere and dumped these fools due to dangerous and illegal activity. Bieber is on a fast decline. His father is an idiot. It's only a matter of time. We can only watch.

Beiber and his daddy need parental guidance. Please Canada, take your naughty little spawns of a nuisance back to your land and keep them in a locked cage there.

Isn't it a crime to smoke on a plane? Maybe they can at least take away his rights to fly?

A truly troubled teen and parent. Its too bad they don't realize the way they are sabotaging their lives, and hurting others.

Any parent who allows their underaged child to drink alcohol and smoke pot is totally irresponsible. Any parent who allows a kid to needlessly be abusive to employees is screwed up. Jeremy Bieber is nothing but a wannabe black rapper, just like his son. This guy is 38 years old and dresses/acts like a punk in his teens, with tats all over, earrings, wife beater, etc. He apparently has read Dina Lohan's Book of Child Rearing, because instead of acting like a responsible, mature adult, he is Justin's drug buddy and best friend. I suspect he is on Justin's payroll and living off of his son's money. Not surprising, considering he never married Justin's mother and appears to be nothing but a white trash freeloader and enabler to his son's bad behavior. What a horrible role model; no wonder Justin is so messed up. It appears Daddy Biebs paid off the flight crew so they wouldn't press charges against them. He is a total tool just like his son, and I wish the two of them would be shipped back to Canada. We've already got Lohan and her terrible parents; we don't need any more destructive, rich, self-entitled, spoiled brat celebrities in the US.

Who cares about this twat? You're only giving him more fame and popularity just by putting him in the news.

There are other real celebrities who deserve the fame that Bieber shouldn't have and doesn't deserve.

Bieber is just a living parasite.

The little wannabe black kid would never had gotten away with that crap on a commercial flight. His father should have been arrested for allowing his punk son to drink and smoke weed under age. Serving to a minor, no matter who paid for it.The kid is a punk because his parents are garbage too. they live off him so he does what he wants. Deport the little canadian  ass wipe.

Is there some good reason that Bieber (and his Dad) don't seem to be operating under the same laws that I am?  Do you think that if you and I were found breaking the law so often and in so many ways that we would not be sitting in jail right now? "Wasn't detained" seem to a common phrase for the Biebers every time the police stop them.  The law in general looks foolish to many in this country and definitely in some other countries because of their unwillingness to charge/detain a 20 year-old kid who thumbs his nose at rules we have to follow.

@cholvenstot I dunno.... There will always be a pilot and/or plane owner who wants to make money, and Bieber is obviously not a penny pincher.

@cassiemaguire1  Is that a serious remark? Opening a window of a flying airplane? Only if he wants to have have no oxygen and freeze to death, that is a very good idea!

GlennYoungman1
GlennYoungman1

@cassiemaguire1 I totally agree, Biebs should have opened the window prior to descent, at 30,000 feet.  All of that pot smoke would have been sucked out of that plane in seconds... along with everything else.

JGKaye
JGKaye

@cassiemaguire1  Honey. The Windows on a plane don't open. The police would have been able to tell he had been smoking, regardless of the smell. If the pilots had to don oxygen masks, that means it was bad enough they were worried about getting second hand high. Do you know what that means? If they had gotten high, the plane would have probably crashed because they wouldn't have been able to control it.

Now, perhaps you are a fan of the Beibmeister, and that's your choice. But there is no avoiding that his behaviour has been reckless, dangerous to those around him, and most importantly, illegal.

He's not a United States Citizen. Any other average person would have been deported for these offenses. Just because he is a celebrity does not mean he is above the law -- especially when he's endangering other people. The boy either needs to get deported or find some help before -- and trust me when I say this is almost inevitable -- he causes someone's death.

@Phoebe1950  Don't take it personally..it is just a typical teenager new to money acting his age, with an irresponsible dad.

@Openminded1 Really? Tattoos, weed, drag racing, hookers, and booze are you impression of black kids? I know the g4 plane isn't. Look ignorance knows no race or ethnicity. He's just a kid who can't handle fame, not success, fame. He clearly has some growing up to do and to be honest, most people on this thread probably smoked some weed in college I'm sure most of us drink to some degree. Throw in a few hundred million dollars and a few cameras you have justin bieber. I don't like the kid, and I think his PR person needs to be fired. I just hope he doesn't go past the point of no return. That's how situations like phillip Hoffman happen. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

@Openminded1  yet he is more successful in the last week then your entire life. I see all the comments you make judging other people. how sad are you? i'm not a fan of this guy but I know he is no longer a minor.

@anne10 I bet more than a few police officers have young daughters who LOVE Bieber.

steve7342

@anne10  well Bieber is not who you should worry about. We have Wall Street bankers corrupt politicians and corporate CEO's making the laws and writing them in thier favor. They are above the law and steal from the american people , what they do affects us all , Mr Bieber dosnt hurt anyone yet he gets 100% of the media attention and distracts us from real problems.

nico707

@JGKaye @cassiemaguire1  LOL! Please do your research, you dont get 2nd hand high from weed, it might get in your system but you won't feel high and even if they did they wouldnt crash the plane. You obviously must think a weed high is like alcohol, its not, only thing it does is make you more relaxed (relieve stress), hungry and think more deeply, dont see how that would cause someone who's been flying for years to crash.

blumkinjoe
blumkinjoe

@JGKaye @cassiemaguire1They would not have crashed due to a second hand contact high. 70% of the marijuana smoke is absorbed when the smoker breathes. Not to mention that planes fly on auto pilot and pilots only 1)take off, 2) land, 3) take control if auto pilot fails. Granted they did have to land the plane, but marijuana does not inhibit motor skills like alcohol does.

The pilots probably just don't like the smell of smoke. I have family that can't handle the smell of smoke of any kind because they being sneezing and coughing. I would understand needing to wear a mask in that instance, but most likely the pilots were just overreacting to someone smoking marijuana. I am *NOT* a fan of Justin Bieber, and was critical of him when he was arrested recently, but if they were smoking as much as the article makes it seem, the DEA would have found paraphernalia (pipes/bongs/etc), a bunch of joint/blunt remains or a bunch of stems/bits of weed.

@Hardatwork  I am black, i know black kids, this black wannabe is heading for a premature death, and the excuse of his youth is getting old. birds of a feather flock together.

@steve7342 @Openminded1 This little puke has been drinking and using drugs for a while and his parents are dirt bags.  I call it like it is sonny, that is judging others as well. I have been judged all my life and if it is true I admit it. I am not perfect, but I do know i never used drugs , at anytime in my life, never pulled the silly little crap this punk has done. His success has been great, but it maybe short lived if he lives the life style he continues and hangs out with the wrong crowd. His parents are not helping him, other then spending his money. And by the way moron success for one person is not the same for another. If you want to say he made more money, that is true. But that money can not be used if your dead or in prison. he needs to have a conversation with other entertainers that are a bit more stable, maybe Justin Timberlake.

Sorry, Steve---your answer has nothing to do with the subject at hand.  We have criminal laws that affect as many people as civil laws.  I am affected much more directly by an idiot racing on a city street under the influence than a politician or a banker.  Contrary to your comment, Bieber DOES hurt people.  I agree he gets too much media attention-- but chalk that up to the press and the public who follows his every asinine move.

@steve7342  Actually, one thing a lot of people are overlooking is the fact Bieber is bringing out real problems that people are overlooking that are just as bad, if not more dangerous at a base level. With all the legal troubles he is going through, and the fact it looks as if he gets off very lightly, he is posing a threat on the upbringing of the next generation by making it look okay to do things that are illegal and very much detestable by so many people out there who know better. If people do show the bad he does, and he does get in trouble and deported for things like it, he is more likely to be an example of the problems rather than an example of what you can get away with doing just for being famous.

Beliebers should NOT be cheering for this jerkoff when he enters or leaves a police station. They need to learn about consequences for actions.

Is it better to complain about corporate greed that isn't going to change very quickly as it hasn't in these last so many years, or to make sure the young and impressionable generations grow up knowing they need to buck up and be responsible for their own actions? That can be handled a lot easier and develop more for the future than something that won't change no matter how many people complain.

blumkinjoe
blumkinjoe

@nico707 As a marijuana expert that splits time between the Bay Area, Humboldt, and Trinity counties, yes, people can get a contact high from being in a hotboxed room/car/(and I guess) plane. An experienced smoker would not feel the effects, but a non smoker can get a low-to-moderate buzz going if stuck in a hotbox for hours on end, which is what happened with the pilots. In my above post I say they probably weren't getting an actual contact high and were most likely just overreacting, but still, it's possible.

blumkinjoe

@Hardatwork You are 100% right in saying that calling him a "black wannabe" is wrong. It is an insult to insinuate that Bieber's behavior is some sort of ripoff amalgamation of black people/black culture. I'm not black, but I know immature, disrespectful, and crass behavior doesn't equate to being, or wanting to be black. If anything Bieber wants to be "cool" so badly that he comes off as a petulant child.

His entitled behavior is going to get him thrown in jail a la Lindsay Lohan, and I bet the second he has to spend more than a night in jail he will show his true colors really fast.

Hardatwork
Hardatwork

And you're right but he's still 19 yrs old. How much more growing up have you done since 19? Like I said I don't like the kid but I know also that nobody here can condemn the kid. Honestly I'm tired or hearing about him. It just validates his actions and gives him no reason to change.

Hardatwork
Hardatwork

I'm black too and I'm say that calling him a black wannabe is wrong. Call him what he really is, ignorant and immature.
