On Sunday night at the Grammy Awards, Beyonce showed the rest of the performers how it’s done: All it took was some sassy wet hair, a folding chair, a nervous censorship dude with his finger hovering over the bleep button — some of her new songs are dirty, y’all! — and of course, the assistance of her husband, Jay Z. Bey’s standout performance of “Drunk in Love” showcased sultry vocals and a lot of attitude.

That’s what makes hearing this new version so thrilling: Using computer wizardry, someone has taken the vocals from her Grammys set and layered them on top of a new instrumental track, creating an updated version that shows off a different side of King Bey; here, unlike the album version, she sounds like a sultry lounge singer.

The main difference from Bey’s original ode to marital joy? The updated track strips out the propulsive drum track that gives “Drunk in Love” its sexy spontaneity, instead emphasizing a dramatic piano accompaniment.

Despite the changes, don’t fret — we still get to hear her say “serfbort.” Twice. Hear it below.
