At Thursday night’s Critics’ Choice Awards, the big winners were 12 Years a Slave and Gravity.

But the ceremony was also a glamorous event bringing TV and film stars together for a rare night of both red-carpet glamour and self-deprecating humor.

Here are some of the highlights, from a running joke on Matthew McConaughey’s signature exclamation, to a sound flub during Sandra Bullock’s Golden Globes acceptance speech.

The awards season, which is now in full swing, will culminate with the Oscars on March 2.

Two separate events:  the Critics’ Choice Awards and The Oscars, yet same exact winners?  Kinda strange.

Wayans has to make a racial "joke". Ha ha, no one laughed. It's getting old.

Black people are becoming over-represented on TV.  Certainly compared to any other minority, they just scream racism the loudest.

@SukMadiq@krg645Crying and whining about "racial" jokes and how blacks are over-represented on TV (which is a joke in itself, since it's hardly true) -- also getting old.

And maybe if you stop making thinly veiled racist comments like that, nobody would have to scream racism at all. Just a thought.
