Universal has decided that Paul Walker’s character will retire rather than get killed off in Fast and Furious 7, according to a report.

Citing unnamed sources, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that new scenes will be added to address Walker’s retirement and allow the franchise to continue without him.

Walker died in a tragic car accident in December. Since filming on the latest Fast and Furious sequel had not yet been completed, fans and producers speculated how Walker’s absence would be addressed in a way that would satisfy mourning fans and cast members. The movie’s release was pushed from July 2014 to April 2015.

Universal declined to comment.

They should make Paul Walker die in a race in Furious 7 to be able to give him a closer in the movie.  Proper way, Proper funeral in the movie for he really died in a car accident so it would be justified. He should have a brother to come in for revenge for loosing Paul in a car accident and take place with Diesel. I think Chris Pine would be a suitable brother that comes back for revenge.Then by honouring Paul give him a proper funeral in the show and  it can go on. Both Chris Pine and Paul Walker look alike and it would be believable. I find they are also the same type of actors. I am a big fan and i don't want the movie to end. I would continue to go see movies if they had someone like Chris Pine because it would be believable to me that he would be his brother.  What a story that would make. As a fan of the show I would also like to be able to say goodbye to Paul Walker instead of forgetting he was ever there.  They need to make it right and the show must go on. Please invite me to the taping :-) My dream

Going over by what everyone is saying and everyone has their own unique way of what should fast 7 incorporate. I THINK IN MY OWN OPINION BECAUSE I CAN'T SPEAK FOR THE REST OF THE FANS, BUT I AM CURIOUS TO KNOW HOW THE SCRIPT OF FAST 7 WOULD TURN OUT AND HOW THE DIRECTORS AND EVERYONE WORKING FOR THE MOVIE VISIONED IT TO BE. IF UNIVERSAL STUDIOS IS TOO GREEDY TO KEEP ON MAKING MOVIES THAT'S ON THEM, BUT I BELIEVE THAT THEY SHOULD FIND SOMEONE THAT LOOKS SIMILAR TO PAUL WALKER TO FINISH THIS MOVIE. AS MAY HE REST IN PEACE HE HAD WORKED IN THIS FILM AND THE SHOW MUST GO ON IN HIS HONOR. IF UNIVERSAL STUDIOS CAN'T PULL THIS OFF THAT MEANS THEY DO NOT HAVE IT IN THEM AND THEIR REPUTATION WILL BE AFFECTED INDEED. AND IF THEY CAN THEY SHOULD END THE SERIES AT FAST 7 BECAUSE LIFE IS SHORT AND IF FOR EXAMPLE ANOTHER CAST MEMBER CAN'T MAKE THE NEXT SERIOUS. WOULD THEY KEEP ADJUSTING THE STORY? UNIVERSAL STUDIOS FIND SOMEONE AND STOP MOVING THE TIMELINE TO 2015 MAKE IT HAPPEN THIS YEAR IF YOU HAVE IT IN YOU!

For all the fans if you agree please help spread the word because if they delay the movie and do whatever they want it won't turn out good at all. As fans we need to unite and have our input valued because at the end of the day we pay to go see the movie and when it comes out to buy. If they can't pull it off this year then we should refuse to see this movie in 2015!

With out Paul, it will be hard to continue the franchise, in my opinion this was Vin  and Paul's doing. I would think it should stop at Fast 7 unless you can find another story line to start, 7 ends this story line.Having the same people different characters,different story line. just my opinion, I'm a big fan! but with out Vins other half it wont be the same or the character.  I miss him so much!

I will go see ff7 but I will stop there! I'm a big fan of Paul Walker and I don't think he would agree with this decision. He loved being a part of ff he would want it to keep going in his memory! Why can't Cody Walker keep his memory going! We all miss Paul Walker but we need to step back and think about what he would want not what the big shots want!

The accident wasn't tragic. How were the actions of those 2 any different than a 20-year-old punk in a homemade "race car"?

How can you be so heartless? No matter if its paul walker or a "20 year old punk", any death is tragic. If you dont have this opinion, I seriously question the type of character you are. Thats just heartless man. Im atheist before you bring religion into this, he was young and didnt deserve to die, nor does a 20 year old punk for making a bad decision. I seriously hope you're a troll and dont actually have that opinion.

@gamemeister326

There is a difference between tragic and avoidable.  Perhaps you need to invest in a dictionary to learn them.
