Paul Walker’s remains were unrecognizable following the high-speed car crash that took his life on Nov. 30, according to an autopsy released Friday.

The 2005 Porsche was speeding at 100 mph when driver Roger Rodas lost control of it, according to the coroner’s report. Walker was in the passenger seat. The car began spinning, slammed into a light pole and a tree, and then burst into flames.

The autopsy lists the “combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries” as Walker’s cause of death, and describes extensive burns and other injuries. The Fast and Furious star’s body was so badly damaged that he was not a candidate for organ donation. He suffered extensive burns, as well as fractures to his jaw, shoulder, clavicle, rib, pelvis and spine. The coroner could not even determine his eye color because of the extent of the burns.

Rodas also suffered extensive injuries in the crash that nearly split the car in half. His skull was fractured so widely that his brain was visible.

No drugs or alcohol were found in either body.

Sounds similar to the James Dean Accident

I wonder if the cause was the tires - did they have "low profile" tires? Some of them burst easily (develop bubbles from potholes etc)

Some of the comments below are very crass. He is a public figure, so some people would want to know.

And what do we draw from this? Don't drive at 100mph period. Always wear seat belts
