It’s the most unwanted honor in the movie business: the year’s most pirated film. This year’s unfortunate winner is Warner Bros.’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

Variety reports that “The Hobbit” drew an estimated 8.4 million illegal downloads in 2013, edging out Django Unchained at 8.1 million downloads and Fast & Furious 6 at 7.9 million.

So congratulations — and condolences — to the winners of the pirates’ choice awards.
