Breaking bad did NOT average 10 mill per episode.  That was only for the season finale.  It's average viewership was far below that of Game of Thrones.  Thought not scientific, I suggest anyone to look up the wikipedia listing of episodes for proof.

Pretty shoddy research and writing.

What do most of these pirated shows have in common?  They all require pricey monthly subscriptions to individual channels like HBO.  When will the content producers realize that their best model for success, is to focus on making the content itself a value that a majority of people will want to pay for, irrespective of the delivery channel or "Last Mile" connection provider (Comcast, AT&T, etc.)?

@John_WestraI think first there will need to be "content creators" with very deeep pockets completely independent of any one "delivery channel".

As far as I know, Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad are made *by* those large networks.  Ok so Breaking Bad may be an original series, but Game of Thrones is based on a book.

So... just look at all the stuff.  author, book publisher, actors, sets, scripts, writers, designers... on and on and on.

It can be difficult to organize all that if you don't happen to be a big company.
