The Powerpuff Girls are returning to the Cartoon Network for a one-night special called “Dance Pantsed” on January 20th at 7:30 p.m. ET. To help celebrate their triumphant return to television, Bubbles, Buttercup and Blossom are bringing a friend with them: Ringo Starr.

While sugar, spice, everything nice and a splash of Chemical X were enough to make the three superpowered little girls, for their one-night comeback, The Powerpuff Girls, which ran on the Cartoon Network from 1998-2005, are bringing in some added star power.

The Beatles drummer will be appearing as Fibonacci Sequins, “Townsville’s most famous flamboyant mathematician,” who is kidnapped by Mojo Jojo, the evil monkey archenemy of the Powerpuff Girls. When Mojo Jojo’s plan is thwarted he invents an evil video game called “Dance Pants R-EVILution” to steal Chemical X and take over Townsville.

Aside from voicing a character, Starr will also contribute an original song and music video, “I Wish I Was A Powerpuff Girl,” to the special, which according to Variety,  reunites the original voice actors, Catherine Cavadini, Tara Strong, E.G. Daily, Roger L. Jackson, Tom Kane and Tom Kenny.

“Dance Pantsed” will debut on Jan. 20 at 7:30 p.m. EST with a 10-episode “Powerpuff Girls” marathon airing the day before.
