Breaking Bad topped Nielsen’s first-ever ranking of TV programs generating the most buzz on Twitter, with the final season of the hit show averaging more than 520,000 tweets per episode. The Walking Dead was the second most tweeted-about show, averaging 490,000 tweets an episode.

The Super Bowl and MTV Awards were also winners in the rankings, which track U.S. audiences only. Super Bowl XLVII was the year’s most tweeted-about sporting event, followed by Games 6 and 7 of the NBA Finals, according to Twitter spokesperson Rachael Horwitz. The MTV Video Music Awards, which included Miley Cyrus’s now-infamous, twerkified live performance with Robin Thicke, was the most tweeted about special event, Horwitz added.
