HBO is turning its most watched show into a video game.
The cable network is partnering with Telltale Games for a Game of Thrones video game expected to be released sometime in 2014, according to an announcement at Spike TV’s “Video Game Awards” Saturday.
“We’ll be taking advantage of all the fiction to make something great,” said Dan Connors, CEO of Telltale Games.“We’re just really getting into it right now and thinking about characters — who has the most at stake, who has the biggest impact on the world.”
A 25-second trailer aired during the awards ceremony but didn’t reveal too much about the forthcoming game. Telltale Games is also behind Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us video games.
