Start holding your breath; X-Men Apocalypse will arrive on May 27, 2016. It will be the eighth X-Men film.

The next and seventh installment in the superhero movie franchise based on the Marvel Comics of the same name, X-Men: Days of Future Past, is slated for May of next year, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The franchise kicked off in 2000 with the original X-Men film and is currently the 15th largest-grossing movie series in history, with over $2 billion in revenues worldwide. It is based on the original comics about a team of mutant superheroes, created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, which debuted in 1963.

In the X-MEN universe; Apocalypse is basically the final frontier.  Something told me with Bishop and Time Travel introduced into this film; Apocalypse wouldn't be far behind.

My favorite storyline in the comics was one titled : Beyond Good and Evil  - Apocalypse's attempt to capture all the world's powerful psychics to manipulate all time and space.
