Jenji Kohan speaks at the "Weeds" discussion panel during the Showtime portion of the 2012 Summer Television Critics Association tour at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on July 30, 2012 in Los Angeles, California.

Jenji Kohan, creator of Showtime’s Weeds and Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black, will now take her talents to HBO. Kohan is developing a provocative period drama for the premium cable network, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The show will take place in Salem, presumably set in the time surrounding the Salem witch trials. If so, the show can tap into the witch hype created by shows like American Horror Story: Coven and Witches of East End.

Production for the second season of Orange Is the New Black is already underway, so Kohan will have to balance both shows.
