Forget candies and champagne. Convince your significant other that you should spend the most romantic night of the year watching corrupt politicians plot murders. House of Cards will return on Valentine’s Day, Netflix said in a press release. Like last year, all 13 episodes of the Emmy-nominated Netflix original series will be available to stream at once.
Producers have released little information about the upcoming season: the new teaser trailer released Wednesday (above) is silent and only shows Claire Underwood (Robin Wright) smoking a cigarette. But they have said that President Walker’s billionaire buddy, Raymond Tusk (Gerald McRaney) will be asking Kevin Spacey’s Frank Underwood to return some political favors — or face retribution. And the Valentine’s Day episodes will almost certainly features some romantic backstabbing among Underwood, his wife Claire and his ex-lover Zoe Barnes (Kate Mara).
Season two will feature episodes directed by Jodie Foster and Homeland‘s Carl Franklin.
