Universal Pictures will donate a portion of the proceeds from DVD sales of Fast & Furious 6 to Paul Walker’s charity, following the actor and movie franchise star’s death last weekend.

“With the passing of Paul, the world has lost a man who spent a great deal of his life in service to others. We share in the deep grief of his family, friends and the countless fans who love him,” Universal Pictures chairman Donna Langley said, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Walker died at the age of 40 in Valencia, Calif., on Saturday while in the passenger seat of a Porsche that struck a pole. Walker’s charity, Reach Out WorldWide, organizes medics and other volunteers worldwide to response when disaster strikes. He founded it in the wake of the 2010 Haiti earthquake that left hundreds of thousands of Haitians dead.

Fast & Furious 6 goes on sale in stores nationwide Dec. 10. The next Fast and Furious film, meanwhile, has been placed on hold in the wake of Walker’s death.
