The new trailer for Academy Award-winning director Hayao Miyazaki’s The Wind Rises fills us with not a small amount of excitement — TIME critic Richard Corliss call the tale of Jiro Horikoshi, a young boy who grows up to design World War II-era fighter planes, “visually gorgeous.”
And a more than a touch of sadness — as this will be the final film from Miyazaki, the genius behind such animated masterpieces as Spirited Away, Ponyo and My Neighbor Totoro.
