SNL producer Lorne Michaels announced Thursday that Jimmy Fallon will host Saturday Night Live on Dec. 21, as the comedian prepares to take over The Tonight Show early next year.
The pairing of Fallon, a former SNL cast member, and musical guest Justin Timberlake, who has been known to slip into popular SNL sketches when he performs — like D**k in a Box, The Barry Gibb Talk Show and the Single Ladies music video — is sure to be a popular episode. This will be Fallon’s second time hosting and Timberlake’s fifth appearance as a musical guest.
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon is set to premiere Feb. 17 with Michaels as executive producer.
