Jay Z announced he will not back out of a planned collaboration with luxury department store Barneys following public scrutiny over accusations of racial profiling.

Jay Z, also known as Shawn Carter, announced Friday that he will continue with the launch of his BNY SCC holiday collection as long as he helps guide the store’s review of its policies, the Associated Press reports.

“I will take this into my own hands with full power to recommend, review and revise policies and guidelines moving forward. I am choosing to take this head on,” he wrote in a statement on his website.

The collaboration launches Wednesday, with 100 percent of sales from the collection going towards Jay Z’s charity, the Shawn Carter Foundation, which provides college scholarships to underprivileged students. Barneys will also donate 10 percent of its total sales in Wednesday’s launch.
