In an interview on a British radio show, Miley Cyrus said she was in fact smoking real marijuana on stage at the MTV Europe Music Awards, The Hollywood Reporter reports. When asked if she considered the media buzz her act of deviance would create, Cyrus said, “It’s not something that I think about. I was just walking out of my room and then I was like, ‘Oh, I have this in my bag. That will be really funny.’ And I didn’t say anything to anybody.” She added, “I knew the fans in Amsterdam would love it, and they started going crazy when I did it.”
The pop star went on to say she doesn’t care what the media has to say about her or what she sees when she Googles herself. In another interview across the pond, Cyrus told the BBC that she considers herself one of the world’s leading feminist. “I feel like I’m one of the biggest feminists in the world because I tell women to not be scared of anything,” she said. ”Girls are all beautiful.”
“Guys get to show their t—ies on the beach, why can’t we?” she added. ”I don’t understand the double standard of life.”
