Pop superstar Lady Gaga took flight to promote her new album, unveiling what she called the world’s first flying dress.

During a launch party in Brooklyn for her new album ARTPOP, released worldwide today, Gaga unveiled a white dress attached to six giant fans in a hexagonal formation. After stepping into Volantis, as she called the dress, Gaga took flight, in a manner of speaking, floating inches from the floor as she piloted the dress across the room.

The pop star said that she created the dress as a symbol for the youth of the future. “I wanted to make today about something even more important to me, and that something is the youth of the world,” she said. “Their minds are just so boundless.”
