Still obsessed with Golden Girls after all these years? You could be in luck. ABC is developing a sitcom about a group of aging men, Deadline reports. The show’s premise reportedly “revolves around three long-lost basketball teammates who reconnect in their 60s and discover they still have a lot to learn about love and friendship.”
It certainly sounds heart-warmingly familiar.
The ensemble comedy is being developed with executive produce Dan Fogelman, who created the series The Neighbors, and writer-executive producer Robert Borden, who co-produced The George Lopez Show. There’s no word yet on casting.
The real question is whether the new show will have a theme tune as catchy as its predecessor.
