With little more than a month to go before the Dec. 13 premiere of The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug, director Peter Jackson is giving fans another glimpse into what’s to come for Middle Earth with a new three-minute trailer.
Warner Bros. unveiled the trailer Monday at what was dubbed a “worldwide event” to promote Smaug, which also featured a Q&A with Jackson, who was in New Zealand, and other satellite appearances by several of the film’s stars. The event was broadcast to theaters around the world.
This isn’t the first trailer for The Hobbit‘s second installment, but it does feature more footage of newcomers Evangeline Lilly and Luke Evans, as well as the return of old favorites like Martin Freeman, Ian McKellen, Orlando Bloom, Lee Pace and Richard Armitage. Oh, and dragons, of course.
