Season two of the Kevin Spacey-led political drama House of Cards has yet to be released, but streaming giant Netflix is already hoping to get a third season in the pipeline.

“Our intent is that the show keep going for sure,” Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos said Saturday, Deadline reports.

“It was a 26-episode commitment,” Sarandos said of the two 13-episode seasons that were part of the show’s initial deal. However, he said, “it was not our intent that it just run for two seasons.” Sarandos told Deadline that “talks are in progress right now.”

It’s hardly a surprise that Netflix wants to continue the series. As TIME recently reported, the streaming service’s original programs — like House of Cards and Orange Is the New Black — have helped the company quadruple its earnings year after year. Season two of House of Cards is expected to stream in early 2014.
