Playing off the buzz of the latest Wes Anderson movie trailer, the SNL writers crafted a pretty spot-on spoof of all those quirky Andersonian tropes you kind of hate but also kind of love.

The Midnight Coterie of Sinister Intruders stars Owen Wilson (played by the episode’s host, Edward Norton, who happened to star in Anderson’s latest film, Moonrise Kingdom) and includes nods to most of the director’s past works, including The Royal Tenenbaums and Fantastic Mr. Fox. From the transitional music to the camera angles to the font choices, the spoof nails it.

As ridiculous as you know The Midnight Coterie of Sinister Intruders would be, you’d still totally see it, and then marvel about how beautifully crafted it was. Just admit it.
