The BBC has released a special teaser trailer for the upcoming Doctor Who 50th anniversary episode, called ‘The Day of the Doctor’, which will be aired in more than 75 countries around the world.
The minute-long trailer features glimpses of all 11 actors who’ve played the title role since the series began in 1963, including the current Dr. Who, Matt Smith, who will be leaving the show this year. (Actor Peter Capaldi is set to take up the role.) What’s most exciting about the trailer — or frustrating, depending on your point of view — is the lack of footage from the upcoming episode. For that, sci-fi fans will just have to wait for the actual program, which airs on Nov. 23.
