After years of delivering episodes at the last minute, the creators of South Park failed to meet their deadline, and Comedy Central on Wednesday had to broadcast a rerun. The mishap, ending a 240-episode long streak, was caused by a power outage, reports Entertainment Weekly.
Unlike other animated shows, South Park has consistently been delivered late, in order to keep the show topical. Creator Trey Parker said in a statement: “It sucks to miss an air date, but after all these years of tempting fate by delivering the show last minute, I guess it was bound to happen.”

The missed episode, “Goth Kids 3: Dawn of the Posers” will run on Oct. 23 instead.
