It will be a comedy with one-hour episodes shot in Albuquerque, and much of the same crew as Breaking Bad. That’s what creator Vince Gilligan told The Hollywood Reporter about Better Call Saul, the spinoff featuring the character of Walter White’s bombastic lawyer, Saul Goodman.

Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, the actors who played Walter White and sidekick-turned-nemesis Jesse Pinkman, might even make cameos, at least if Gilligan gets his way.

Audiences can expect a debut sometime between next August and October on AMC.

Vince never said it's a comedy.  It's a drama, with comedic elements as you would expect from Saul.

A comedy??? Really???    Hmmm, I'll keep an open mind about it ('cuz it's Vince Gilligan)  but I have to admit to some disappointment. Would prefer it not to be a comedy.

@ShaunMacNeil It has Saul Goodman. Why wouldn't it be a comedy. Breaking Bad's early seasons had plenty of comedy elements in it.
