Netflix has greenlit a psychological thriller series created by the team that brought you the legal thriller Damages, starring Glenn Close. LikeĀ House of Cards and other Netflix-exclusive shows, the 13-episode first season created by Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman and Glenn Kessler will premiere exclusively on the subscription service.

Sony Pictures television will act as the production studio for the show. All of Netflix’s previous shows, with the exception of Arrested Development (which wasn’t a new series), were distribution deals or created by smaller or independent studios, according to the Wall Street Journal. This will be Netflix’s first new series deal with a major studio.

The show will focus on the secrets of an American family of adult siblings when their black sheep brother returns home. While the cast has yet to be announced, the show is set to begin production in 2014, according to a press release.
