Paul McCartney Gives Pop-up Concert in Times Square

The ex-Beatle promoted his new album, "New," and played old favorites including "Hey Jude"

While most of us were stuck inside working, Sir Paul McCartney wowed fans on Thursday afternoon with a surprise concert in New York City’s Times Square that he announced at the last minute on Twitter:

The 13-song performance included favorites like “Hey Jude” and “Eight Days a Week.” While not officially a tribute to his former bandmate John Lennon, the outdoor performance came one day after what would have been Lennon’s 73rd birthday.
