Cast member Jennifer Lawrence poses at the premiere of "The Hunger Games" at Nokia theatre in Los Angeles, California March 12, 2012.

Jennifer Lawrence might have an Academy Award and a devoted fan base, but the Silver Linings Playbook and Hunger Games actress revealed in Harper’s Bazaar UK that she has faced losing jobs over her weight.

“Somebody told me I was fat, that I was going to get fired if I didn’t lose a certain amount of weight,” the 23-year-old said. “They brought in pictures of me where I was basically naked, and told me to use them as motivation for my diet. It was just that.”

On top of feeling hurt, however, the actress says it makes her angry. “If anybody even tries to whisper the word ‘diet’, I’m like, ‘You can go f–k yourself,’” she said.

The weight critiques have even gone beyond casting calls. “A few years ago Ms. Lawrence might have looked hungry enough to play Katniss, but now, at 21, her seductive, womanly figure makes a bad fit,” NY Times film critic wrote in 2012.

“I’d rather look chubby on screen and like a person in real life,” the actress has told Marie Claire.
