Actor Cory Monteith from "Glee" arrives at the 2011 People's Choice Awards in Los Angeles January 5, 2011.

Late Glee star Cory Monteith’s death was classified as accidental after he consumed a lethal dose of heroin and alcohol, according to a report issued by a Canadian coroner’s office on Wednesday.

The 31-year-old actor was found dead on July 13 in a hotel in Vancouver. Monteith had spoken frankly with the media in the past about his ongoing struggle with substance abuse, which he had reportedly battled since his early teenage years.
