Paul McCartney is releasing a new album, New, on Oct. 15 and to promote the launch he’ll be taking questions from fans in a live Twitter Q&A – his first ever, according to his publicists.

While McCartney, 71, is still an active performer and tours extensively, New will mark the first studio-recorded album of solo material the former Beatle has released since 2007’s Memory Almost Full. Describing the new album’s title track, which was released in August, to the BBC, McCartney said, “It’s a love song but it’s saying don’t look at me I haven’t got any answers. It says I don’t know what’s happening, I don’t know how it’s all happening, but it’s good and I love you.”

The Twitter Q&A session is scheduled to begin at 9:40 am EST on Thursday. Fans can ask questions about New or the recording process using the hashtag #askMacca.
