As Walter White would say, Vince Gilligan isn’t in the TV business: He’s in the empire business.

Gilligan, the “Breaking Bad” creator, is reviving an old cop drama he wrote about two detectives fighting crime in Battle Creek, Mich., according to the Hollywood Reporter. He originally developed the pilot with CBS in 2002, but the drama has been ordered up for the 2014-2015 season. “House” creator David Shore is attached as a writer, executive producer, and showrunner.

But this isn’t the only thing up Gilligan’s sleeve. He’s also reportedly working on “Better Call Saul,” a “Breaking Bad” spinoff for AMC featuring Walter White’s nefarious lawyer.

The news comes after Gilligan took home the Best Drama Emmy for “Breaking Bad” on Sunday.
