Battle Beyond the Stars (1980)
Cameron was a nerdy, model-making wannabe when he was hired by Corman as a low-level prop builder on Battle Beyond The Stars—Corman’s gambit to cash in on the Star Wars sci-fi craze. Seeing that the script (written by future A-lister John Sayles) called for a female space ship. Cameron sketched an absurd spacecraft with gigantic boobs on the prow. Corman, no stranger to the importance of T&A to help sell his films, loved it and quickly promoted the future “King of the World”.
