In 2006, when Miley Cyrus first showed up on TV as fictional teen pop star Hannah Montana, the squeaky-clean star was probably best known as Billy Ray Cyrus’ daughter. Now, not a decade later, he’s probably best known as her father—and her image is anything but wholesome.

With her new single, “Wrecking Ball,” and its provocative video seared into our minds, we take a look back at Miley’s milestones.

Dear God, one of the clips has a "TMZ"-watermark...

I completely agree with GraceSC. The most ridiculous thing is the amount of attention this gets, especially from a source like Time. I could accept that CNN were raping the story, but it is little over two weeks ago and this seems like an rushed attempt to create viral material for people to post on their facebook.

No. I will not watch Miley Cyrus and her "evolution". I hear that Jamie Foxx called it right a long time ago though, it's always interesting when that happens.

I am dumbfounded that Miley Cyrus is getting more coverage than President Obama who is trying to justify a military strike on Syria. I follow your leads on Facebook for quick updates, and was very surprised to see a story on Miley Cyrus during such a critical time in global news, where the whole world is waiting on Obama’s decision. While I understand there is a large demand for celebrity and “soft” news, I think such stories should be left for gossip sites, which are all flooded with shallow stories concerning Miley Cyrus’ “scandalous” show at the VMAs ( which I believe is merely adding fuel to the fire as she clearly is performing in such a provocative style to getsuch attention). I will admit I have read my fair share of Miley scandal on trashy entertainment blogs, but nearly a month after the scandal, on such a newsworthy day I do not expect to log on TIME magazine and find news about Miley Cyrus before I can source any news regarding Syria, which is history in the making.I am disappointed that TIME is contributing to “Miley Mania” to easily please the masses, instead of taking a stand and critically judging what holds more news value and importance in society.

I am sorry to see Hannah do this to herself. She was one of the special ones and now she is Disney's new Porn Queen...sad

Good. I hope this little pop tart is forgotten soon. Total lack of breeding

Over time, she grows the body of a woman and the intellect (and posture) of a bonobo. What a sad indictment on American parenting and education!

I saw Miley on Sunset Blvd last night wearing high heels and carrying a mattress. She will do anything for attention.

There are people with talent out there that people are able to follow.  I have no idea why American Society is so dumb and can't see how talentless these media creations are and why Americans are so dumb that they can't find and enjoy people who actually have talent

@GraceSC Maybe Time took her seriously when she said she was "making history" by parading her backside on MTV. Seriously though, I couldn't agree more, this is beneath any serious news organisation.
