10 Great TV Pilots
I always thought the Red Dwarf pilot "The End" was really well done, introducing us to life aboard the Red Dwarf, all the major characters as well as setting up the entire series in 30 minutes ... " the birth of the workplace-as-family sitcom."
So what you're saying is that you've seen no shows made before 1970...
The comment on the Cosby Show slide about the line “I brought you into this world, and I can take you out" where the author notes that it is from his act and "not, let's hope, from his life" is in poor taste considering the tragic way Bill Cosby's son passed away.
Uggh! I knew Battlestar Gallactica would not be on there. One of the best pilots and series I have ever seen.

BTW, the comment in the article was a reference to the tragedies in Bill Cosby's life. Such a reference isn't in poor taste - if simply reflects reality.
@dperkyone I was thinking the same thing!
And its crazy, both the TV Pilot Mini-series and 33 should both have made this list...
@cjh2nd Agreed. "The Wire" is probably the best TV series ever made, and better than most movies. When Spielberg and Lucas say Hollywood is in trouble, they are looking at HBO:
