It was a case of “This I Promise You” for NSYNC’s Lance Bass when he became engaged to boyfriend Michael Turchin, an artist and aspiring actor.

“He said YES!! Love this man,” said Bass on Sunday on his Instragram account, along with a photo that shows him pointing to the engagement ring on Turchin’s finger. People reports that the Bass popped the question in New Orleans, where the couple are spending the holiday weekend.

Two years previously, Bass revealed to People that he dreamed of having a “family and the kids.”

Bass and Turchin have been in a relationship since 2011.

Call me a Homophob or a Bigot and I wont call it Hate Speech I will say it is your right to Free Speech! With that said might I ask why is the Federal Government, Celebrities (people that play pretend for a living) and the media Cramming Homosexuality down our throats? If a state say California Votes down same sex marriage or civil unions why does a Federal Judge have the right or power to over turn the will of the voters, if he doesn't agree with the peoples decision. I forgot to mention the Federal Judge was gay and has now become engaged or married to his partner, I believe that is a little bias, don't you think? People I'm Straight but I don't flaunt it I'm not asking for more rights or protections but I will say this that the time will come in America when we as the people of this country will no longer have the right to raise their kids the way they see fit. We will no longer have the freedom of speech nor freedom of Religion because of all these new rights that are being handed out to these special groups. When this happens Lord help the American people when we decide to push back.

If you were not so busy in the middle of your hypocritical hate speech, you would see how you apply rights to yourself and only yourself. It's simple, do you believe in life, liberty, and a pursuit of happiness? Then every American, as long as they are not impeding on others rights have the right to be and do as they please. Just as you do. You don't ask for more rights as a straight person because you have every right there is, they don't, they are not equal and have the same rights as you. It's that simple. You don't have to agree with it, you don't have to like it, it doesn't have to go with YOUR religion, but it also has nothing to do with you. They are not "cramming it down your throat" they are fighting for their constitutional rights and I'm sorry if you have to hear about their struggle. It's a big deal because they have to fight so hard against closed minded people like you who like to use the Constitution for their own benefit but will deny it to others. Think about that. Is it unconstitutional to not let these people have life, liberty, and a pursuit of happiness?
