New Album from Lady Gaga to Hit Stores in November

The singer made an announcement on Facebook that her third studio album — titled ARTPOPwill be released on November 11, with the first single, cleverly called “The Single,” dropping on August 19.

 ‘Arrested Development’ May Return to Netflix

Though initially announced as a one-off project, there’s a possibility that TV viewers might get a fifth season of Arrested Development. Though Netflix has not released any data related to its hosting of the cult-hit’s fourth season, the show obviously did well enough to warrant discussion of a re-renewal.

Sam Mendes to Return as Bond Director

The director of the almost universally praised Skyfall will return to direct the next James Bond movie (the 24th in the series), scheduled to hit theaters fall of 2015. Bond producers were eager to re-sign the Oscar-winning Mendes (American Beauty and Revolutionary Road) — in addition to its many admiring reviews, Skyfall earned more than $1 billion in worldwide revenues. Daniel Craig will be reprising his role as 007.

The ‘Lone Ranger’ Could Cost Studio More Than $150 Million

To call the big-budget Johnny Depp action-Western an underperformer would be something of an understatement. Disney – which already wrote off $200 million for 2012’s mega-bomb John Carteris preparing for losses that could surpass $150 million. The Mouse House should weather this disappointment, thanks to the strong revenues from Iron Man 3 and Monsters University.

Lauryn Hill Begins Prison Sentence
